Lazy Sunday

I LOVE SUNDAYS! This is the only day of the week when I can sleep for as long as I want and even if someone asks me to wake up early, I can actually shut that person up by simply saying, "No way, dude, it's a Sunday!"
Sunday is one day when I just like being at home. Generally, I am out all the time, visiting every place possible - hence, it is nice being a couch-potato for one day! It is so much fun doing absolutely nothing for a change! I can just laze around, watch television, read a book, play 'The Sims'. Besides, Sunday is the only day I get to spend quality time with my younger brother. However, even he cannot make me leave the house on a Sunday. I do not mind going out for dinner, for a movie or shopping on any day of the week but on a Sunday, I just hate stepping out of the house!
One more thing I love about Sundays is the fact that I can have a bath anytime I want - I do not have to go meet people; therefore, there is no reason for me to get ready! Sometimes, I have baths as late as 6:00 pm!!
Of course as Sunday comes to an end, I do experience the Monday Morning Blues! The very thought of having to wake up by 7:00 am the next morning
is enough to dampen my spirits!

Tomorrow is 2nd August and it is being celebrated as FRIENDSHIP DAY. Therefore, this Sunday I do not get to be at home as my best friend wants us to spend the day together. However, I am looking forward to something exciting and I hope tomorrow will be a nice day!

GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK. THANKS FOR VISITING MY BLOG. I AM TRULY SORRY THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE GARDEN SPACE; BUT YOU SEEM TO HAVE A FULL HEART, AND A RICH IMAGINATION, SO NO DOUBT THERE ARE MORE THAN A FEW LOVELY BLOOMS IN YOUR SOUL. SINCE MY RETIREMENT MANY YEARS AGO, THE DAYS OF THE WEEK SOMETIMES JUMBLE INTO ONE, AND THERE ARE SUNDAYS ALL OVER THE PLACE. ENJOY...LET US KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

Hi Stephen!
While I would love to have a garden but I am not too sure if I can actually make an effort to maintain it - there are times, when I tend to become lazy!
I have plans for lunch - will let you know what else I've been upto :)

Hi! Oh yeah, I can remember those same thoughts when I was your age working my way in a busy job long ago. lol! Sundays -- was heaven! :-D

But right now in retirement, everyday is a Sunday! Lots of free time, lots of sleeping and lazing around, and lots of baths! hahahah Kidding! Truth is, there's so much to do in the home -- chores, errands, three grownup daughters and three frisky dogs plus one cat --That's more than a handful, believe me!! .. plus the reading, sketching, and the writing. But it's great, sure is!

Everything in life has its own space and time.
Smart God we have! :-)

Take care pleas. God bless you and your family.

Hi Ellen!

Well, for me Sundays are a day of rest but I do have to finish all my household chores on that day too - from doing my laundry to arranging my cupboard, buying groceries...but I try getting all that done as soon as possible and then go back to my laziness mode again :)

Hi Pramoda!
I have college on Saturdays and then I am generally out - the only nice thing about a Saturday night for me is that I do not have to wake up early morning the next day (Sunday)!!! I am more of a person who enjoys being at home, therefore, I like Sundays as I can stay in the whole day!
